Investigation Into The Regulation Of Bulk CO2 Storage Under Seveso
14/04/2010CO2 is not currently classed as a dangerous substance for the purpose of Seveso, however, moves towards storage of large amounts of CO2 as a greenhouse gas reduction measure has prompted attention towards the hazards. An HSE paper details the case for inclusion as a Seveso hazardous substance.
The danger considered is chiefly of release of large volumes of CO2 from high pressure storage and the toxic effects of the free gas.
